❓ FAQ – Custom Clack Fans

### Q: Do you offer white ribs/handles?

**A:** At this time, I **only offer black ribs/handles**.
When you see “all white fan” or light backgrounds in the design, that refers to the **printed fan fabric**, not the ribs/handles. If I ever offer white ribs in the future, I’ll update my listings.

### Q: Why can I see light through the fan? Is that normal?

**A:** Yes, that’s totally normal.
These fans are printed on material that can have **slight transparency**, especially in bright light or outdoors. It actually photographs beautifully and gives the design a nice glow. This is not considered a defect.

### Q: How long does it take to get my fan?

**A:** Please check the **processing time** shown at checkout for the most accurate estimate.
Processing time includes:

* Designing your fan
* Sending a mockup
* Waiting for your 8 hours approval window
* Printing and assembly

Shipping time depends on the carrier and option you choose at checkout. I do my best to meet your event date, but I **cannot control carrier delays** once the package is shipped.

### Q: Can I get my fan by a specific date?

**A:** Maybe 😊 The best way is to **message me before ordering** with:

* Your event date
* Your location (city/state)
* How many fans you need

I’ll let you know if it’s realistic based on current processing times and shipping options. Rush orders may be limited, especially during busy seasons.

### Q: Do you accept returns or cancellations on custom fans?

**A:** Because each fan is **custom made just for you**, I typically **do not accept returns or exchanges** unless there is a clear defect with the product itself.

If there is an issue with your order:

* Please contact me by email within the stated time window.
* Include photos of the issue so I can review and see how we can fix it.

Cancellations may only be possible **before design work or production has started**. Once your mockup has been created or approved, cancellation is usually not available.

### Q: What happens if I don’t respond to the mockup?

**A:** To avoid delays, you’ll have **8 hours** to respond once I send your mockup.
If there’s no response in that timeframe:

* I will move forward with the **last mockup sent**, and
* Your fan will be printed **as-is** to keep your order on schedule.

Please make sure your email notifications are turned on and that you’re checking messages, especially if you have a deadline.

### Q: What kind of photos work best?

**A:** For the best results, please send:

* **Clear, high-resolution photos** (no blurry screenshots if possible)
* Good lighting
* Uncropped images when you can, so I have room to work with the design

If a photo is too dark, blurry, or low quality, I’ll let you know and may recommend a different image to keep your fan looking its best.

### Q: Can you design something from scratch for me?

**A:** I design layouts using **your photos, colors, themes, phrases, or logos**.
If you need very detailed, hand-drawn, or full illustrated artwork from scratch, that may fall under **custom artwork** I don’t currently offer. Feel free to message me with your idea and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

🚨 UPDATED FAN POLICIES & IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION

✅ MOCKUP AND APPROVAL POLICY

A digital mockup will be sent to the email address used at checkout before printing when customization or approval is required.

Single-fan orders: You have 8 hours from the time the mockup is sent to approve the design or submit your one included round of simple edits. If no response is received within 8 hours, the last mockup sent may be printed to keep the order within the listed processing schedule.

Bulk orders: The group mockup must be approved before production begins. Delayed approval may delay production and shipping. Once a mockup is approved, changes cannot be guaranteed.

Mockup approval confirms acceptance of the selected photos, photo placement, wording, spelling, dates, names, layout, colors, theme, and overall design direction.

✏️ ONE INCLUDED EDIT

One round of simple edits is included. All requested corrections must be submitted together. Simple edits may include correcting spelling, adjusting existing wording, making a minor color change, or slightly moving or resizing an existing photo or design element.

The included edit does not cover replacing photos after the design is created, adding information that was not originally submitted, changing the full theme or layout, requesting another design option, starting over, or creating separate designs for individual fans in a bulk order. Additional work may require a design fee and may delay processing.

🎨 COLOR DISCLAIMER

Exact color matching is not guaranteed. Screen settings, lighting, fabric texture, sublimation ink, heat-press temperature, and photo filters may cause printed colors to look lighter, darker, warmer, or cooler than they appear digitally. Exact matches to hex codes, Pantone colors, clothing, decorations, team colors, or brand colors are not guaranteed. The digital mockup approves the general color direction and design, not an exact printed shade.

📸 PHOTO QUALITY

Final print quality depends on the quality of the images provided. Clear, original, high-resolution photos are recommended. Screenshots, dark images, heavy filters, cropping, blur, or low resolution may result in blurry or pixelated printing. Print-quality issues caused by customer-provided images are not considered production defects.

🖨️ SUBLIMATION AND FABRIC VARIATIONS

These fans are sublimation printed on fabric and assembled by hand. Slight ink softness, small color shifts, light shadowing, minor press marks, slight fading near folds, visible fabric texture, and small placement differences are normal handmade characteristics and are not considered defects.

↔️ ONE-SIDED PRINTING

Fans are printed on one side only. Because the fabric may be slightly transparent, the reverse side may appear lighter, faded, or mirrored. This is normal and is not considered a defect.

🪭 FAN OPENING, FOLDING, AND EDGES

Clack fans may feel tight when first opened. Open the fan from the front using a firm clack motion and gently separate folds if needed. Do not force the fan open by pulling the fabric edges.

Tiny fibers, loose threads, or minor edge fraying may occur because the fabric is cut during production. Small loose threads may be carefully trimmed. Severe unraveling that affects use must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos.

🧴 GLUE AND ASSEMBLY MARKS

Small areas of visible glue, white showing near a fold or rib, or minor assembly marks may occasionally appear because each fan is folded and assembled by hand. These minor variations are normal unless they prevent the fan from opening or being used.

🚚 PROCESSING, RUSH SERVICE, AND DELIVERY

Processing time and shipping time are separate. Faster shipping does not automatically shorten production time unless a rush production option is selected. Rush service does not bypass mockup approval. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Carrier delays, weather, weekends, holidays, incorrect addresses, and other issues outside our control may affect delivery.

↩️ RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND CANCELLATIONS

Because personalized and custom fans are made specifically for each customer, returns and exchanges are not accepted unless there is a confirmed production defect that prevents normal use. Cancellations may only be available before design work or production begins.

Any concern must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and/or video. If a production defect is confirmed, an appropriate resolution may include a replacement, partial refund, or another remedy depending on the issue.

Normal characteristics—including slight transparency, a lighter or mirrored reverse side, minor fabric fraying, small color variations, minor handmade placement differences, slight glue or assembly marks, and differences between screen colors and printed colors—are not considered defects.
